Alexandria Company for Pharmaceuticals & Chemical Industries is an affiliate of the Holding Company for Pharmaceuticals (Holdipharma), with its manufacturing facility in Alexandria and a branch in Cairo.
Our portfolio of more than 185 products covers most therapeutic classes — antibiotics, anaesthetics and dental anaesthetics, ophthalmic, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, genitourinary and respiratory medicines — alongside veterinary products and medical appliances.
Some preparations are made only by us in Egypt, including Carbol dental anaesthetic, Pistinon, Suminalita, Comedal, Alkestol and Vegaskine-D.

Nassar Lab is founded
The company starts life in Alexandria as Nassar Lab, later growing into Alexandria Company for Pharmaceuticals & Chemical Industries.
Educating communities
Before modern vaccines, we helped educate medical professionals and the public about stopping the spread of typhoid, diphtheria, polio and influenza.
Joining Holdipharma
On 20 July 1991 the company became an affiliated Egyptian joint-stock company of the Holding Company for Pharmaceuticals under Law 203 of 1991.
International certification
Our quality, environmental, medical-device and occupational-safety systems are certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 13485 and OHSAS 18001.
Passing EGP 1 billion in revenue
Net operating revenue reached EGP 1.02 billion, with 1.3 billion tablets produced in a single year.
Building what comes next
New tablet presses, track-and-trace serialisation, a polypropylene filling line and a new sterile area are expanding what our plant can make.
